Position Overview: 

The Director of Student Services serves as an advocate for student success throughout the academic lifecycle for students enrolled in our acupuncture and massage programs, and actively coach students from the point of enrollment to graduation. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to student success planning and advising both remotely and in-person. The Director of Student Services also serves the College as a student liaison and collaborates with all departments to promote a positive, student-centered experience.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Contacts students regularly and proactively through virtual/in-person meetings, phone, text, and email to provide support through tools, resources, services, encouragement, positive reinforcement, and student accountability to ensure smooth transition into the program and throughout the lifecycle of student.
  • Provides advice and academic planning for students across all programs. This includes developing academic plans, aiding with course registration, reviewing requests for schedule modifications, and creating remedial course plans for students with academic difficulty.
  • Be familiar with state and national requirements for licensure and be able to communicate these requirements or refer students as needed.
  • Uses student information systems, customer relationship management systems and reporting for timely completion of tasks and to document outreach.
  • Works closely with other academic and student service leaders to identify at-risk students and provide necessary support.
  • Builds connections, motivates, and resolves student issues. Individuals in this role are the bridge for the student and college administration, ensuring students have access to information, policies, procedures, and requirements they need to make informed decisions.
  • Problem solves when dealing with student issues that require research, de-escalation, and critical thinking.
  • Assists in student retention initiatives and collaborate with faculty and student services to implement strategies that promote student success and persistence.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Dean, or designee(s).
  • Participate in administrative meetings as required.
  • Recommends support resources, policies, and procedures to help the student population succeed.
  • Assists with planning, attending, and participating in orientation, information dissemination sessions, and other special events during evenings and weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Job Skills:

  • Master’s degree required, in education, counseling, or another related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years working with students from diverse backgrounds preferably in higher education OR equivalent experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail for complex academic logistics.
  • Ability to manage confidential records in a discrete and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others at various levels to support the success of others.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must display self-motivation and initiative.

Dr. Barnes, a distinguished health care leader, clinician, educator, and advocate with nearly two decades of nursing experience, is widely recognized in the New York City nursing community for her pioneering work addressing health disparities and advancing maternal-child health.

Dr. Barnes brings robust academic and professional credentials to the college, including a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, and extensive clinical experience as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has also held leadership roles in nursing education, overseeing undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, which positions her to profoundly influence the development of new nurses entering the profession.

A passionate maternal health advocate, Dr. Barnes currently serves as National Chair of the ’s . Her scholarly work highlights critical issues related to psychosocial support for teen mothers and the systemic disparities impacting maternal and child health outcomes. Dr. Barnes is a vocal proponent of policy initiatives such as the , advocating for legislative solutions to reduce preventable pregnancy-related deaths.

Position Overview:

Clinical practice is one of the most important elements of the curriculum at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×. The clinical experience is where medical theory is translated to professional practice. Clinical supervisors oversee the patient care experience in its entirety. This includes monitoring intern assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills, charting, and time management ensuring safe clinical practice, CNT, and adverse event management. In practitioner shifts, the clinical supervisor will provide patient care with student observers in attendance.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

The Undergraduate Science Laboratory Instructor delivers in-person laboratory instruction for Anatomy & Physiology I and II and a 300-level Microbiology course to undergraduate students. The instructor will facilitate hands-on learning, ensure laboratory safety, and support student success through effective teaching, preparation, and mentorship.

This is an in-person role teaching one or more courses on the Manhattan campus. You will be a member of a hybrid department but will teach onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide laboratory instruction for undergraduate courses in Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, and Microbiology, following established curricula and departmental guidelines.
  • Work with the Science Lab Manager to prepare and organize laboratory materials, equipment, and specimens for each session, ensuring all resources are ready for student use.

General Job Summary:

The Financial Aid Manager is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Financial Aid with overseeing and managing all aspects of the ï¬nancial aid operations, ensuring that students have access to the ï¬nancial resources they need to pursue their education. This role involves coordinating the processing and awarding of ï¬nancial aid, providing guidance to students and families, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The Financial Aid Manager also supports continuous improvement in ï¬nancial aid processes and services.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Program Administration

  • Assist the Assistant Director of Financial Aid (ADFA) in overseeing the processing and awarding of financial aid packages for incoming and continuing students.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing financial aid.
  • Review and verify financial aid applications, including FAFSA, and other required documentation.

Leadership and Supervision

º£½ÇÂÒÂ× is seeking a dynamic individual for the full-time position of Academic Operations Manager – Clinical Placement and Compliance at our New York campus. This position is hybrid, with at least 3-4 days per week required at the New York campus.

Position Description:

The Academic Operations Manager for Clinical Placement and Compliance plays a critical role in supporting the seamless execution of clinical education within the nursing program. This individual serves as the operational lead for clinical placement logistics, student compliance tracking, and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders. The Manager ensures that students and faculty are prepared for clinical learning experiences and that clinical operations align with program requirements, regulatory expectations, and partnership agreements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Request Clinical Placements for Each Term:

  • Submit formal placement requests to clinical partner sites for each academic term based on program needs and student enrollment.
  • Track responses and confirm site availability, communicating outcomes with academic leadership.

Coordinate Clinical Scheduling with Partner Facilities:

  • Work directly with hospital systems, clinics, and other healthcare partners to finalize and schedule student clinical assignments.
  • Ensure placement timing aligns with course schedules and academic calendars.

Ensure Submission of Compliance and Health Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of student compliance with health and onboarding requirements (e.g., immunizations, background checks, drug screens, CPR certification).
  • Provide required documentation to clinical sites and track deadlines to prevent delays in student participation.

Collaboration with Program Leadership on Placement Assignments:

  • Engage in strategic planning discussions with program directors and deans to align placements with learning objectives, student progression, and faculty availability.

Serve as Liaison to Students Regarding Clinical Placement:

  • Communicate placement details, timelines, and expectations clearly to students.
  • Respond to questions and concerns and offer support throughout the placement process.

Coordinate Faculty Orientation to Clinical Sites:

  • Ensure clinical faculty are aware of site-specific policies and receive necessary orientation materials or sessions prior to start.
  • Act as the point of contact for faculty questions related to clinical logistics and onboarding.

Prepare Students for Clinical Readiness Prior to Orientation:

  • Disseminate orientation schedules, parking and access instructions, dress code requirements, and other site-specific protocols.
  • Confirm that all students have met pre-placement requirements and are cleared for participation.

Manage Clinical Schedule to Avoid Overlaps or Conflicts:

  • Create and maintain a master clinical schedule that accounts for all student cohorts, clinical sites, and faculty assignments.
  • Monitor for potential scheduling conflicts and adjust as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Oversee Clinical Site Evaluation Process:

  • Facilitate collection of site evaluations from clinical faculty at the conclusion of each term.
  • Compile and report evaluation results to inform site selection and quality improvement efforts.

Maintain Accurate and Up-to-Date Clinical Records:

  • Organize placement confirmations, compliance documentation, orientation attendance, and evaluation data for easy reference and audit-readiness.

Support Accreditation and Reporting Requirements:

  • Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation for accreditation bodies (e.g., ACEN) and regulatory agencies related to clinical education.

Develop and Refine Standard Operating Procedures:

  • Create and update workflows and documentation processes to enhance efficiency and consistency in clinical placement operations.

Foster and Maintain Strong Partner Relationships:

  • Represent the nursing program professionally in all interactions with clinical partners.
  • Proactively resolve issues and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, healthcare, education, or business-related field preferred.
  • Experience in nursing education, academic operations, or clinical placement coordination strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of student compliance processes and healthcare onboarding procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment.

The Campus Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and overall management for the College campus, ensuring alignment and communication of the College’s mission, goals, and policies. They strategically manage staff, faculty, facility, and resources ensuring that staff is trained and maximized to support student success. The Campus Director also manages the overall business operations and daily budget decisions for the campus. They help remedy student concerns and work with various campus departments to help students achieve their educational goals. The Campus Director also ensures ongoing compliance with state, federal, and accrediting bodies is maintained and that current regulations are followed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Directs the activities of all campus employees.
  • Oversees Administrative and Clinical
    • Mentoring the Director of Clinical Services in clinic management
    • Oversee clinic staffing plan & ongoing training needs.
    • Support and advise on budgets, capacity report and development of best practices in clinic management.
    • Collaborate with Campus Safety Officer on safety reports and trainings.
  • Communicates daily or as needed with the College President & CEO regarding college business and policy determinations and the smooth flow of activities at the college.
  • Responsible for the campus budget and P&L.
  • Oversees building maintenance and equipment upkeep.
  • Keeps community members informed about activities, concerns, plans on and off campus.

Student Support:

  • Remedies student concerns, complaints, grievances, and investigations, as necessary.
  • Supports Student Council.
  • Oversees and leads the coordination and planning for student events, such as graduation, town halls, and campus updates.
